The Kick Me Campaign
“Kick Me” is based on the prank of someone sticking a Kick Me sign on another’s back without their knowledge - just like 90% of those infected with HIV/AIDS may not know they are carrying the virus. YouthAIDS turns that practical joke into a practical lesson.

Launched in 2006, with the help of our Youth Ambassadors Ludacris and Emmy Rossum, we called on young people across the country to do something radical and simple to fight the spread of HIV/AIDS. The call was answered - almost 1,000 young adults participated on the same day, December 1st (World AIDS Day), by wearing a sign to help spread the word about HIV prevention. The campaign raised more than $100,000 to help fight the spread of HIV through YouthAIDS programs in more than 60 countries and educated thousands of people here in the United States to the threats of HIV infection.

The campaign was sponsored by Levis, Virgin Unite, ALDO, Kiehl’s and Luna.

Registration for the Kick Me Campaign 2008 will begin in September. Be sure to sign up for our email list to stay in the loop!
